Fairy Musketeers
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Side by side exist two worlds — Elde, where science rules, and Fandavale, where magic does — kept separate on purpose so humanity never gets too powerful. That balance starts cracking when a witch named Cendrillon (yes, as in Cinderella, but the villain version) decides she wants to rule both worlds and needs a very specific key to do it. That key turns out to be Sōta, an ordinary kid from Elde who had no idea any of this existed until a girl named Akazukin — Little Red Riding Hood, armed and ready — shows up with her talking wolf Val to protect him. Soon Snow White and Sleeping Beauty join the crew, and yes, they are exactly as capable as that sounds. The fairy tale characters here are not decorative. They are warriors with a job to do, and Sōta is that job. The tone stays comedic and light throughout the 39-episode run, but there is a genuine adventure underneath the humor. If you grew up watching Cardcaptor Sakura or Shugo Chara! and want something with that same warm, episodic energy but built around fairy tale mythology instead of magical girl mechanics, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Princess Tutu who liked seeing classic stories reframed in unexpected ways will also find something familiar here. It is a gentle watch — nothing too heavy — but the character dynamics between Sōta and the Musketeers carry it further than the premise might suggest.
