Tanjiro arrives at the Swordsmith Village, encountering powerful Hashira and facing new demonic threats in a battle that will test his strength and resolve.

📖 SYNOPSIS

After his blade gets completely wrecked, Tanjiro and Nezuko get escorted to a hidden village full of master swordsmiths to get a new one. Sounds like a chill little side trip, right? It is, for about two episodes. The Swordsmith Village Arc is where Demon Slayer starts giving real screen time to two Hashira who've mostly been in the background — Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira who's basically a spaced-out prodigy, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, whose fighting style is genuinely unlike anything else in the show. The early stretch lets Tanjiro poke around the village, discover an ancient training weapon, and just exist in this world for a bit before things inevitably go sideways. Across 11 episodes, ufotable does what ufotable does — the action sequences here are some of the most visually ambitious stuff in the entire series, and the soundtrack hits in ways that make even quiet moments feel heavy. If you liked the escalation in Attack on Titan's later arcs or the way Jujutsu Kaisen handles its villain hierarchy, the Upper Rank demons here bring that same energy where every encounter feels genuinely dangerous. The breathing techniques get more creative, and there's real emotional weight behind why these characters fight. If Bleach's Soul Society arc was your thing — elite warriors defending a sacred place from invasion — this scratches a similar itch with modern production values. It's a strong arc in an already solid run.

✨ MUST WATCH IF...

You loved the Entertainment District Arc and want more Hashira backstory — especially the Mist Hashira's past
ufotable's animation is your main draw — this arc's fight sequences hit peak visual spectacle
You're invested in Nezuko's evolution and want to see a major development for her this arc
Character-driven arcs appeal to you more than villain-focused ones — two new Hashira get the spotlight

❌ SKIP IF...

You want intimidating villains — this arc's Upper Ranks feel less threatening than Daki and Gyuutarou
Tonal whiplash bugs you — comedy drops into serious battle scenes and undercuts the tension
You prefer tight pacing — some fights stretch across multiple episodes and drag noticeably
