EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the premiere's establishment of Nene as Hanako's assistant, this second episode expands the show's supernatural framework by introducing how school rumors directly influence apparitions — a concept central to the entire season. It serves as the first proper 'case of the week' and builds foundational lore before the series escalates into the Misaki Stairs arc, which begins shortly after.
