The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Reading minds, teleporting, seeing through walls — Saiki Kusuo can do basically anything you can think of with psychic powers. Sounds awesome, right? He hates it. All he wants is to be completely average and left alone, but that's hard when you accidentally know every embarrassing thought your classmates have and can't eat food without turning it into something weird with your powers. This TV series follows Kusuo through 120 episodes of trying — and failing — to live a quiet life at P.K. Academy, where the universe keeps throwing the most aggressively eccentric people at him. There's Nendou, whose mind is so empty even telepathy can't read it. There's Kaidou, a kid who genuinely believes he's fighting a secret evil organization. And there's Teruhashi, who thinks every person on earth should fall for her on sight. The comedy hits in rapid-fire short segments, so it never drags. Each bit is basically Kusuo dealing with some new absurd situation caused by his powers or his classmates, delivered deadpan while everyone around him loses their minds. If you liked the fourth-wall-breaking humor and ensemble chaos of Gintama, or the chuunibyou delusions in Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai, this sits right in that space. It also shares that low-energy protagonist energy with Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge, except Kusuo's laziness is backed by god-tier abilities he never asked for. Really easy to pick up and just let run.
