Directly following 'Beast,' which triggered Jun's violent first transformation, 'Blood' slows down to let the psychological consequences settle in—establishing the internal conflict that will define much of the series. It bridges the initial shock of episode one with the escalating turmoil of episode three, 'Wings,' where Jun's dual identity crisis intensifies further.
