Synopsis
By this point, Sakuta Azusagawa is no stranger to Adolescence Syndrome — a supernatural phenomenon where emotional turmoil manifests as reality-warping events. He's helped girls become invisible, relive the same day, and split into two people. Now he's finally made it to university with his girlfriend Mai Sakurajima, and things are looking almost suspiciously normal. Mai even took a year off from her acting career just to be there. It's sweet, it's calm, and naturally it doesn't last. When his friend Uzuki from the idol group Sweet Bullet starts acting strange, and a mysterious girl in a miniskirt Santa outfit shows up claiming to be a net singer named Touko Kirishima, Sakuta finds himself pulled into another case he can't walk away from. This TV series from CloverWorks adapts the later light novel arcs across 13 episodes, and it carries the same tone the franchise has always nailed — conversations that feel real, emotional weight that sneaks up on you, and supernatural elements that work as metaphors for things people actually struggle with. If you liked the introspective romance of Clannad or the way The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya wraps weird phenomena around everyday life, this is in that same lane. Fans of Toradora's sharp dialogue and genuine emotional payoffs will feel at home too. The Bunny Girl Senpai series has always been quietly one of the best character-driven romance stories in anime, and this is more of what makes it work.
