In a world dominated by magic, a muscle-bound boy with no magical abilities must navigate a magic school and defy expectations to achieve his goals.

📖 SYNOPSIS

In this world, magic determines everything — your social status, your worth as a person, even your right to exist — and Mash Burnedead has none of it. No magic mark on your face? You get eliminated. Mash has no magic. What he does have is the ability to bench press basically anything and an almost spiritual devotion to cream puffs. He's been hiding in the forest with his adoptive dad, just vibing and working out, until circumstances force him to enroll in Easton Magic Academy. His goal: become a Divine Visionary, the highest honor a student can earn. His method: punch everything. Classmates casting fireballs? He punches through them. Complex magical duels with elaborate spell systems? He just hits harder. The comedy here works because Mash isn't doing it to be funny — he's completely deadpan about the whole thing, which makes it way funnier. If you liked One Punch Man's whole "overpowered protagonist in a world that doesn't know what to do with him" energy, or Black Clover's underdog-in-a-magic-academy setup, this hits a similar nerve but leans way harder into the absurdist comedy. It's got that Mob Psycho 100 DNA too, where raw power meets a protagonist who genuinely doesn't care about looking cool. A-1 Pictures handles the animation, and the action scenes land surprisingly well for a show that's mostly a gag comedy. Twelve episodes, clean pacing, doesn't overstay its welcome.

✨ MUST WATCH IF...

You love shonen parodies — Mash solves every magic problem with raw physical strength and deadpan delivery
A-1 Pictures' exaggerated action animation during Mash's fights is genuinely fun to watch
You're into Harry Potter-style magic school settings but want them hilariously subverted
You want a quick 12-episode comedy that doesn't demand heavy plot investment to enjoy

❌ SKIP IF...

You prefer deep character development — supporting cast gets sidelined for Mash's one-note gags
Repetitive humor wears on you — the 'muscles beat magic' joke runs through all 12 episodes
You're looking for a serious fantasy narrative with real stakes and dramatic tension
