📖 SYNOPSIS
"Kyubi no Kitsune to Tobimaru (Sesshoseki)" is inspired by a legend surrounding a poisonous stone, Sesshoseki, located near Mt. Chausu in Tochigi Prefecture. The story originates from a novel by Okamoto Kidou and draws upon the history of a volcanic area known for its toxic gases, which have caused death for centuries. The legend tells of a kitsune from China who, after causing chaos by seducing an emperor, traveled to Japan and repeated her actions. Eventually unmasked and killed, her vengeful spirit transformed into the Sesshoseki, a poisonous stone that continues to curse the land. The anime explores the themes of vengeance, the power of curses, and the dangers of a toxic environment.
