Synopsis

A gutsy, down-on-her-luck high school girl with no place to call home, Nanami Momozono somehow ended up as the land god of a rundown shrine, and season two picks up right where she left off — still underprepared, still stubborn, still making it work. This time around, she gets an invite to the Divine Assembly in Izumo, basically a summit meeting for gods, which she attends with her snake familiar Mizuki while her fox familiar Tomoe stays behind pretending to be her at school. The real reason she's going, though, is to track down Lord Mikage, the former god who dumped this whole responsibility on her and then vanished. What makes this season click is how the relationship between Nanami and Tomoe deepens without losing the comedy that holds everything together. There's genuine tension in the mythology-heavy storylines, but TMS Entertainment keeps the tone warm and a little goofy, which is exactly what you want from a 12-episode shoujo series. The Japanese folklore elements feel more fleshed out here than in season one — you get a better sense of the world these gods inhabit and the politics between them. If you liked Noragami's blend of divine drama and humor, or enjoyed the supernatural romance in The Demon Prince of Momochi House, this fits right in that space. It's also got some of the cozy familiar-and-master dynamic that Oh My Goddess built its whole thing around. Worth your time if the first season worked for you at all.

It's an anime with a school setting, but above all, romance. Its protagonist, Nanami, has a somewhat slow but consistent development, especially considering she's a human goddess. In this episode, we see even more of her emerging personality when Tomoe manages to see a side of hi
WAS THAT IT?? WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE THE EDITORS HIDING SEASON 3??? you can't be doing this to me when im already so invested and attached with the characters??? nevertheless, i still get soft whenever tomoe looks at nanami like she brought down the whole moon and stars for him.
Lore heavy and emotional, this episode deepens the tengu world and its past. The slow burn between Nanami and Tomoe keeps building, Jirō’s confession adds bittersweet tension, and Tomoe’s quiet love confession at the end really hits.
