Synopsis
Hanging in the sky above a world of surface dwellers who can only look up and wonder are two massive floating cities. Yorn is one of those people — a cheerful young guy raised by a farmer, dreaming about the cities overhead called Yulgaha and Yanuess. Then assassins show up at his door, his father dies protecting him, and a mysterious girl named Elisiss appears out of nowhere, transforming his broken sword into something far more powerful than it has any right to be. Turns out Yorn isn't just some farm kid — he's the God Hunter, and the technological overlords running those floating cities very much want him dead before he figures out why. What follows is a journey to find his mother, uncover his origins, and understand what exactly he's been chosen for. The world blends fantasy and sci-fi in a way that feels genuinely lived-in — swords and floating cities and ancient powers all coexist without feeling forced. The dynamic between Yorn and Elisiss is the real backbone of the show, and it develops in ways that keep you invested across all 26 episodes. If you liked Scrapped Princess or Arc the Lad and don't mind a late-90s aesthetic, this scratches a very similar itch — that specific flavor of destiny-driven adventure with real emotional weight underneath the action.
