Synopsis

Dr. Gero's laboratory computers kept running quietly in the background long after his death. They quietly finished what he started — three brand new androids, numbers 13, 14, and 15, each built with one purpose: find Goku and kill him. The problem is, Goku's just at the mall with his family when they show up. What starts as a regular shopping trip turns into a city-wide brawl pretty fast, and Goku's crew — Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan — all get pulled into it before long. The fight eventually moves out to a frozen wasteland, which gives the whole thing a different kind of scale. This is a movie, so it's lean — no padding, no filler, just setup and then escalating chaos for about an hour. The new androids have distinct personalities and designs that make them interesting enough as threats, and watching the Z Fighters figure out how to handle three separate powerful enemies at once keeps things from feeling like a simple slugfest. The tone sits right in the DBZ sweet spot: intense battles broken up by moments of genuine humor, usually at the worst possible times. If you've seen Dragon Ball Z Movie 06 with Cooler and enjoyed that format, this follows the same rhythm. It's also a good warmup before jumping into Movie 08 with Broly, which takes everything a step further. Not a complicated watch, but a solid one.
