Synopsis

From Planet Di Gi Charat comes Dejiko, a catgirl princess who talks with a distinctive 'nyu' at the end of every sentence and fires lasers from her eyes when annoyed. She decides to take a trip back to her home planet, dragging along her tiny sidekick Puchiko, their floating ball companion Gema, and Rabi~en~Rose — a rival character who very much did not mean to get on this spaceship. The problem is that Piyoko and her bumbling Black Gema Gema Gang have been waiting for exactly this moment to finally capture Dejiko, turning what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation into a chaotic, absurdist chase through space. The whole thing runs about 50 minutes and never takes itself seriously for a single frame. The humor lives in the characters' speech quirks, their wildly mismatched personalities, and a very specific flavor of early-2000s otaku comedy that Di Gi Charat basically helped define. If you grew up watching Galaxy Angel or have any fondness for that era of chibi, gag-heavy anime, this lands in exactly the same space. Fans of Lucky Star's character-driven slice-of-comedy style will also find something familiar here, just louder and more chaotic. It is not trying to be deep. It is a short, goofy movie about a cat princess avoiding kidnapping in space, and it delivers precisely that.
