Synopsis

Summoned into a fantasy world by a goddess, Makoto Misumi barely arrives before she takes one look at him and basically says 'nah, you're ugly,' then dumps him in the wilderness. Most isekai protagonists get a heroic welcome — Makoto gets divine rejection. But here's the thing: he ends up absurdly powerful anyway, builds a whole community of demihumans who actually appreciate him, and starts running a business to prove demihumans belong in human society. Season 2 picks up with Makoto enrolling at Rotsgard Academy to learn magic and expand his merchant operations, all while the goddess who tossed him aside starts viewing him as a threat. The comedy hits well here — Makoto is hilariously overpowered but genuinely awkward about it, and his companions Tomoe and Mio have this chaotic energy that keeps things from ever feeling stale. At 25 episodes, this season has room to breathe, mixing academy life, business-building, and action without rushing through arcs. The vibe sits somewhere between That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime's nation-building appeal and Arifureta's 'rejected hero goes his own way' energy, but with a lighter comedic touch than either. If you liked Mushoku Tensei for the worldbuilding but wanted something less heavy and more fun, this fits that niche pretty well. J.C.Staff keeps the animation solid throughout, and the story rewards patience as Makoto's influence quietly grows into something the goddess can't ignore.

The episode wrapped up everything properly. There's some things that bothered me but it's pretty minor namely: The gorgons discovered fashion in order to be attractive and have mates so their outfit should have changed during the celebratory party, The celebratory party are missing some people namely: Keema and Carole (read the manga if you want to know more), Bowl and the other two people that also made the rider suit. If there's gonna be a third season then I don't know how they would fix up the mess that J.C. Staff made and hopefully they aren't assigned to make the third season 🙏

Thankfully the full fight of Shiki and Lancer wasn't off screened. The fight was flashy and amazing and so was the climax of the fight between Makoto and Sofia. It would have been nice if the reaction of the demon was shown during the evacuation of the fort or a panicking Rona informing her subordinates in Fort Stella to evacuate and witnessing the scale of Makoto's attack. Fun Fact: The kyudo from kyudoka means the way of the bow and the suffix ka means specialist.

The revenge match of Sofia and Makoto. The overall fight was good, it's fascinating seeing Sofia use different kinds of abilities she got from killing greater dragons. It would have been better though if there's a little explanation about the other dragon's ability just for the sake of power scaling. Anyways, the other fight is gonna be interesting and hopefully it wouldn't be off screened 🙏
