📖 SYNOPSIS
Having devoted his entire life to ruling and protecting his kingdom, a legendary Hero-King never gets the chance to just focus on getting good with a sword. When a goddess offers him one wish on his deathbed, he doesn't ask for paradise or power — he asks to be reborn so he can finally train. The catch? He comes back as a girl named Inglis Eucus, born into a noble family in the far future. And to make things worse, she's Runeless, meaning she can't use the magical system that basically everyone in this world needs to become a knight. Instead of moping about it, Inglis decides to become a squire for her cousin Rafinha and use the position to obsessively pursue martial combat on her own terms.
This 12-episode TV series from Studio Comet leans hard into the action side of isekai-adjacent fantasy. Where a lot of reincarnation shows hand the protagonist a broken magic system, Inglis is specifically locked out of magic and has to rely on raw physical skill and centuries of combat knowledge trapped in a kid's body. The gender-bending angle isn't played for cheap jokes — it's more of a background detail while the real focus stays on fights and Inglis being quietly overpowered in a way that's fun to watch rather than obnoxious. If you liked the reincarnation setup of Mushoku Tensei or the calculated protagonist energy of The World's Finest Assassin, this one scratches a similar itch with a more straightforward action tone. Worth the time if you're into martial arts mastery stories with a fantasy coat of paint.
