EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the fifth episode of 178, still firmly in the early foundation-building phase where Ryoma proves himself against his own teammates during the Seishun Academy ranking matches. Episode 4 introduced Kaido's fearsome Snake Shot technique, and this episode delivers the payoff of that setup by pitting Ryoma directly against it. The internal ranking arc continues to establish the roster's individual strengths and personalities, laying essential groundwork for the inter-school tournament battles that will define the series going forward.
