The Great Cleric
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When every other isekai hero is busy picking swords, magic, or some broken cheat skill — Luciel picks healer. Not exactly the flashiest class, but that's kind of the point. He's a former salaryman who dies right before getting a promotion — rough timing — and a deity gives him a second shot at life in a fantasy world called Galdardia. Rather than chasing glory, he joins the Healers' Guild in a town where healers are basically seen as greedy scammers who overcharge everyone. Luciel decides he's going to be the one healer who actually does right by people, which turns out to be harder than it sounds when the entire profession has a terrible reputation. This is a 12-episode TV series that leans heavily into the comedy side of things. The appeal here is watching a guy with a regular office worker's mentality try to grind his way through fantasy world problems — no cheat codes, no broken abilities out of the gate. He just has a strong work ethic and a stubborn sense of decency. The pacing is relaxed, more about Luciel figuring out guild politics and building trust than epic battles. If you liked the early world-building episodes of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or the slow-burn progression in Jobless Reincarnation, this hits a similar groove. It's lighter than The Rising of the Shield Hero but shares that "protagonist earns respect the hard way" energy. A solid pick if you want something low-stakes and easy to watch.
