Synopsis

Picture a spy, an assassin, and a telepath walking into a family — and none of them know about each other. That's the Forgers in a nutshell. Loid is an elite spy who needs a fake family for a mission. Yor is a deadly assassin who needs a husband to avoid suspicion. Anya is a six-year-old orphan who can read minds and is the only one who knows everyone's secrets. She's also having the time of her life. Season 2 picks up right where things left off, with the Forgers juggling their double lives while accidentally becoming a genuinely loving family. Loid keeps pushing Operation Strix forward, Yor gets pulled deeper into her assassin work, and Anya continues being the chaotic glue holding everything together — along with Bond, their precognitive dog, because why not. The comedy hits harder this time around, but what keeps you watching are the quiet moments where these people who are all lying to each other still manage to care in ways that feel real. Wit Studio and CloverWorks handle the animation together, and the action sequences look as sharp as you'd expect from that combo. It's 12 episodes, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. If you enjoyed the found-family energy of Hinamatsuri or Buddy Daddies, this scratches a similar itch but with higher stakes and more espionage. The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting fans will feel right at home too.

A hilarious and action-packed season opener. Yor takes down thugs with her usual deadly efficiency but ends up shot in the buttocks, then hilariously tries hiding it from Loid during their date. Perfect balance of action and comedy. The Forger family charm is fully intact."

This episode gives Yor more depth and makes her role feel more important. It balances action, tension, and family charm well. It also starts to show a more serious side of the story without losing its usual appeal.
