The ending was just as you'd expect, really. It was intense, wholesome, and cute. I enjoyed it; however, it still fell flat for me since I really had hoped we would've gotten to explore more of Holo's story. Especially with Lawrence's promise, we don't get to see that fulfilled. I guess things just stay the same and everyone is content for now. Also, I really wanted to see SOME romance between Lawrence and Holo...

Synopsis
A 25-year-old traveling merchant named Kraft Lawrence wanders a medieval European-inspired world, hauling goods between towns and dreaming of one day owning his own shop. Pretty humble ambitions — until he finds a naked wolf girl sleeping in his cart. She's Holo, a 600-year-old harvest deity who's been watching over a village that no longer needs or believes in her. She wants a ride home to the north. He wants a business partner who can read people like open books. They strike a deal. What makes this 13-episode TV series work is something you'd never expect to care about: economics. Trade negotiations, currency manipulation, market speculation — this stuff forms the actual tension of the show, and it's genuinely gripping because the writing makes the stakes feel real. But the heart of it is the relationship between Lawrence and Holo. Their banter is sharp, layered, and full of the kind of quiet vulnerability that builds slowly across episodes rather than hitting you with dramatic confessions. Holo is witty and proud but also deeply lonely. Lawrence is practical but kind. Together they just click. The medieval setting feels lived-in, and the soundtrack wraps everything in this warm, folk-inspired atmosphere that fits perfectly. If you liked the economics-meets-fantasy angle of Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, or the oddly grounded character dynamics in The Devil Is a Part-Timer, this is in that same lane — just more romantic and emotional. It's a slow burn in the best sense.

Quick Takes
View all 42 takesThis episode had a nice mix of sweet moments and action, leaving the ending with high tension! The wolves and Holo's association with them seems to go deeper than you'd think, and I wish they would explore that side of things much more.
This episode involved lots of strategic planning and discussion to save Lawrence from his debt. It wasn't boring, but I still didn't feel super invested in anything because it just doesn't feel like a lot is at stake, since authorities haven't really done anything. I am curious to see how he can pull off this plan with everyone!
