馃摉 SYNOPSIS
The year is 2201, and the Space Battleship Yamato returns from a brutal conflict with Emperor Zordar and the Comet Empire. Sanada, Aihara, and Shima, recently discharged from the hospital, visit Okita's memorial to pay their respects to fallen crew members. There, they encounter Tasuke, Tokugawa's son, who announces his intention to join the Yamato's crew after graduating from cadet school. At Tasuke's graduation, a mishap occurs when the new cadets, distracted by the Yamato, capsize their boat.
Despite initial launch problems caused by inexperienced engine crew members, the Yamato embarks on what is intended to be a routine training mission. The story focuses on the Yamato's crew, both veterans and newcomers, as they prepare for their next mission, highlighting themes of remembrance, the passing of the torch, and the challenges of rebuilding after a devastating war.
