In the year 2201, Earth is experiencing a period of reconstruction and expansion following the defeat of Gamilus. The crew of the legendary space battleship Yamato, having previously saved the planet from radioactive contamination, now face a new crisis. A mysterious, fragmented message is detected, seemingly originating from a white comet hurtling towards Earth. Recognizing the potential danger, former Yamato crew members commandeer their old space fortress. They prepare to embark on a final, desperate mission.
