📖 SYNOPSIS

Saiyuki Gaiden is a prequel to the Saiyuki series that unfolds 500 years prior to the main Saiyuki storyline. It centers around the past lives of Goku, Konzen Douji, Tenpou, and Kenren. They were once gods, but their actions were far from divine. Goku's uncontrollable fury erupts after witnessing the death of a dear comrade, prompting Heaven's intervention, resulting in a divine order for his execution. Faced with this dire situation, Konzen, Tenpou, and Kenren unite to safeguard Goku, even if it necessitates defying all of Heaven. Their loyalty is put to the ultimate test as they attempt to breach the Heavenly Western Army and find refuge in the Lower World, leaving the fate of their escape and the very beginning of their legendary journey uncertain.
