EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics arc, episode 25 launches the Charlotte Cup ice-skating storyline by introducing Azusa and Mikado as the next eccentric rivals for Ranma and company. This arc continues the series' pattern of escalating through increasingly bizarre martial arts disciplines while deepening the romantic entanglements. It bridges the gap before Shampoo's introduction, which will add yet another layer to the show's ever-expanding love polygon.
