Synopsis

Picture a high school friend group where each guy is a different flavor of disaster when it comes to romance. Natsuki Hashiba is the hopeless romantic who gets dumped on Christmas Eve and immediately falls for a girl named Anna Kobayakawa. Tomoya is the smooth playboy. Keiichi has a sadistic streak that somehow works for him. And Tsuyoshi is a full-blown otaku whose girlfriend makes him cosplay. Together, they're the kind of friend group that roasts each other constantly but genuinely has each other's backs when it counts. This OVA, bundled with the 13th manga volume, gives you a short bonus window into their dynamic — think of it as a treat for fans of the Nijiiro Days series, produced by Production Reed. What makes this whole franchise interesting is that it's a shoujo told primarily from the guys' perspective, which gives it a different energy than most romance anime aimed at the same demographic. The comedy lands because the characters feel like actual friends, not archetypes standing next to each other. If you liked the easygoing group dynamic in Kimi to Boku or wanted something with the warmth of Horimiya but more focused on the bro side of things, this fits that niche. It's light, funny, and genuinely sweet without ever forcing the emotional beats. Best watched after the main series, but even on its own, the vibe is clear — young love is messy, friends make it messier, and that's kind of the whole point.
