EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Ash's Santalune Gym victory in episode 5, the group is now fully formed with Serena officially joining Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie for the road ahead. This episode deepens Serena's integration into the team and begins establishing her individual identity within the group dynamic. It sets the foundation for the long journey toward Cyllage City and Ash's next Gym challenge, still early in a 93-episode season.
