EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the payoff to Episode 5's gym defeat, completing Ash's first major challenge in Kalos and establishing the pattern of earned victories that defines his XY journey. Sitting at episode 6 of 93, it closes out the Santalune City arc and clears the path for Ash's deeper exploration of the Kalos region, new companion dynamics, and increasingly difficult gym battles ahead.
