EPISODE CONTEXT
As the first of only three episodes in this standalone OVA, Episode 1 carries the full burden of establishing the world, characters, and central conflict from scratch. There is no prior episode to lean on — everything begins here. What it sets up is critical: the trajectories of Selene and Edmond, the state of the DSSD, and the larger instability that will drive Episodes 2 and 3 toward their conclusion.
