Miyuki-chan in Wonderland
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Perpetually late and always rushing, Miyuki is your average high school girl — until she falls down a hole and lands in a world that has absolutely no interest in letting her get to class. Think Alice in Wonderland, except every strange character she meets is a flirtatious woman who wants Miyuki entirely to herself. The whole thing plays out across just two OVA episodes, each one dropping her into a new surreal dimension packed with eccentric femmes, bizarre rules, and zero regard for her personal space. Miyuki spends most of her time flustered and trying to escape, which is basically the whole joke — and it works. The art is unmistakably CLAMP, all elegant linework and expressive faces, which gives the ecchi humor a kind of stylish, almost theatrical quality rather than feeling cheap. It is lighthearted throughout, never mean-spirited, just weird and a little cheeky. If you have seen Dragon Half and liked how it blends fantasy parody with comedy that does not take itself seriously, this sits in that same neighborhood. Fans of classic yuri-tinged stories like Fushigi no Kuni no Alice will also find familiar ground here. At two episodes, it asks almost nothing of your time, and it delivers exactly what it promises — a comedic, girls-love-flavored spin on a classic fairy tale premise that knows it is absurd and leans into that completely.
