EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the opening episode's groundwork — introducing the Ikko sect's resurgence and the core cast's reawakened roles — Episode 2 functions as the emotional spine of the series, pulling past-life bonds into direct conflict with present-day loyalties, particularly through Haruie's recognition of Araki. As the middle chapter of a three-episode OVA, it carries the full burden of character development, setting up the confrontations and resolutions that Episode 3 will need to pay off.
