EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming directly off Ichigo's unexpected first transformation and battle in Episode 1, this episode shifts gears from action-first to myth-building, establishing the Mew Project and the larger mission that will drive the full 52-episode run. It lays the groundwork for the recruitment of the other Mew Mews, a thread that will define much of the early and middle portions of the season.
