Synopsis
A wealthy, paranoid heir named Arthur Louis Zetes has survived so many assassination attempts that he's completely given up on trusting other humans. His solution? Request a robot maid — someone who literally can't betray him. Problem is, the technology doesn't exist yet, so his butler does the next best thing: he hires Marie Evans, a deadpan former martial arts prodigy drowning in debt, to pretend to be one. Marie's job is to protect Arthur while never breaking character as his obedient android servant. The comedy writes itself — Marie has to suppress every human reaction, hide the fact that she eats, sleeps, and feels things, all while fending off actual threats to Arthur's life with her fighting skills. And naturally, Arthur starts developing feelings for his "robot," which creates this whole layered mess where you're watching a guy fall for someone he thinks isn't even human, while she's stuck maintaining the act because she needs the money. It's a 12-episode TV series based on a shoujo manga, and the tone sits in that sweet spot between romantic tension and situational comedy. If you liked the class-gap dynamic in Maid Sama or the bodyguard-employer chaos of Hayate the Combat Butler, this is in that lane but with its own weird twist. The premise sounds ridiculous, and it kind of is, but that's exactly what makes the character moments land.
