馃摉 SYNOPSIS
In the second part of the Mardock Scramble series, Rune Balot struggles to protect herself and the severely injured Oeufcoque from the relentless assassin Boiled, sent by Shell. Their lives are saved by the timely arrival of Doctor Easter in the Humpty Dumpty, a specialized vehicle designed to safeguard Welfare cases. Their escape leads them to Paradise, the location where the Scramble 09 technology, and Boiled's rebirth, were developed. As they navigate this new environment, the hidden history of Mardock City begins to surface, potentially impacting its future. Balot is forced to confront a difficult choice: pursue personal justice or strive for peace within Paradise, as the stakes of their struggle escalate.
