EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming directly off the series premiere, which established Nanoka's entry into the supernatural world and her first encounter with Mao, this episode marks the shift from introduction to active storytelling. Nanoka and Mao move from strangers into a working partnership here, making it a foundational episode for the dynamic that will carry the season.
