Loner Life in Another World
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Meet Haruka — a high school loner, not the brooding, tragic kind, just a guy who genuinely prefers being alone. So when his entire class gets isekai'd into a fantasy world and everyone scrambles to grab the best abilities, Haruka shows up last and gets stuck with whatever leftover skills nobody wanted. Most people would panic. Haruka's mostly just relieved he doesn't have to team up with anyone. This 12-episode TV series follows him as he figures out how to survive dungeons and monsters using a grab bag of seemingly useless powers, while his classmates form parties and level up the conventional way. The class rep, Touka Tsuyuri, keeps worrying about him from afar, but Haruka's doing his own thing — improvising, being sarcastic about everything, and somehow making his reject skill set work in ways nobody expected. The tone sits somewhere between genuine survival tension and dry comedy. Haruka's internal monologue carries a lot of the humor, and the show leans into the absurdity of his situation without turning him into a joke. If you liked how Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest handled the "underestimated protagonist" angle, or enjoyed the creative problem-solving in The Rising of the Shield Hero, this scratches a similar itch. It's not reinventing the isekai wheel, but the loner angle gives it a personality that most entries in the genre don't bother with. Produced by Passione and Hayabusa Film, adapted from the light novel.
