📖 SYNOPSIS
Set in a Taishou era that extended for 25 years, the story follows a young woman forced into an unwanted marriage to save her family. Before the wedding, her brother dies mysteriously, clutching an old book. This event draws her into the "Imperial Library Intelligence Asset Management Bureau," known as "Fukurou." They investigate "Maremono," books that profoundly affect their readers. The woman gains the ability to see the "Auras" of these books, manifestations of their sentiments.
Joining the Fukurou, she ventures beyond her sheltered life, encountering complex emotions like jealousy, hatred, and love. The imperial capital is steeped in betrayal, and the woman must navigate this darkness. The narrative explores themes of fate, the power of knowledge, and the struggle to uncover the truth amidst a web of deceit. The woman's journey will determine whether she finds the truth or succumbs to the darkness.
