EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 9's 'Omen,' which signaled the arrival of a coordinated multi-location kaiju threat, Episode 10 detonates what that setup promised — escalating the conflict from a Tokyo-centric crisis into a nationwide emergency. As the second-to-last episode of the season, 'Cataclysms' functions as the pressure point before the finale, pushing every major player into position for the climactic 'Second Wave' in Episode 11. This is where Season 2's escalating tension reaches its breaking point.
