Kaguya-sama: Love is War Movie

At elite Shuchiin Academy, a pair of genius students have a crush on each other and absolutely refuse to admit it. Miyuki Shirogane, the hardworking student council president, and Kaguya Shinomiya, the brilliant and obscenely wealthy vice president, are locked in a silent war where confessing your feelings first means losing. So instead of just talking like normal people, they deploy increasingly ridiculous psychological tactics to force the other person to crack. That's the whole premise, and it somehow never gets old. This movie wraps up the story with an original script from the manga creator, giving the series a proper conclusion on the big screen. If you've been following the TV seasons, this is the payoff you've been waiting for. The mind games are still sharp, but what makes the finale land is the emotional weight behind all the comedy — these characters have grown a lot, and the movie doesn't shy away from that. The humor hits because you care about these two idiots. If you enjoyed the romantic tension in Toradora or wanted something with the emotional payoff of Fruits Basket but filtered through absurd comedy and Death Note-style internal monologues about holding hands, this is your thing. My Little Monster fans will also find a lot to like in the stubborn pride these two bring to something as simple as saying "I like you." Watch the TV series first, obviously, then let this movie close it out.
