Synopsis

Haunted by a disaster he couldn't prevent, Yuji Itadori is left reeling — the Shibuya Incident left everything in ruins, and now the world's gotten even worse. This 12-episode TV series picks up with Japan fractured into ten deadly colonies where sorcerers, both modern and ancient ones pulled back from the dead, are forced into a kill-or-be-killed tournament called the Culling Game. The mastermind behind it all has essentially turned the country into a jujutsu battle royale, and Yuji, now with a death sentence back on his head, has to navigate it alongside unlikely allies like Choso while keeping an eye on Sukuna's unsettling fixation with Megumi. Oh, and Yuta Okkotsu — the guy from Jujutsu Kaisen 0 — has been assigned to kill him. So that's fun. The vibe here is darker and more fractured than previous seasons. Characters are scattered, alliances shift fast, and the emotional stakes hit harder because everyone's already been through hell. MAPPA's animation stays sharp — the fight choreography in this arc is some of the most fluid and creative stuff they've done, with a cursed energy power system that keeps getting deeper. If you liked Bleach's Soul Society arc for the internal betrayals, or Tokyo Ghoul's atmosphere of a protagonist cornered by every side, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Demon Slayer who want something with a bit more moral complexity will find a lot to dig into here.

Quite reminiscent of the scene of the Uchiha Clan massacre, this episode portrays a fan favourite character seeking revenge for injustices done to them in past and the animation along with the soundtrack is done brilliantly.
Straight back into the fighting since the shibuya incident, the opening episode is visually compelling, features the return of a series favourite character and keeps the story going at a steady pace.

Yuta's is just insane — his raw power and cold attitude towards his foes make him feel like a different beast entirely. The animation during his fight sequences were mad good.
