If you liked the strategic tension in Hunter x Hunter's chimera ant fights or the over-the-top machismo of Fist of the North Star, this hits a sweet spot between both. David Production's adaptation nails the manga's iconic poses and bold aesthetic, and the soundtrack — this mix of rock, jazz, and orchestral intensity — gives the whole thing a flavor no other shounen really matches. The final stretch against Dio is one of those sequences anime fans just reference constantly, and once you see it, you'll understand why. It earns every bit of that reputation.
