Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At 29 years old, corporate slave Seiichirou Kondou gets isekai'd by accident — he wasn't even the one being summoned. A woman gets swallowed by the ground, he tries to help, and next thing he knows he's in a fantasy kingdom that wanted a saint, not a salaryman. The kingdom basically tells him they'll set him up with a cushy life and grant whatever he wants. His request? A desk job. This guy is so hardwired for overwork that he literally asks to do accounting in a magical kingdom. That's the whole premise, and it works way better than it has any right to. This is a 12-episode TV series from Studio Deen airing in 2026, adapted from a light novel, and it leans into the BL genre with an adult cast — so no high school drama, just a grown man navigating fantasy bureaucracy while slowly getting tangled up in romance he's too work-obsessed to notice. The tone is engaging without being frantic, mixing isekai world-building with workplace comedy and genuine emotional beats. If you liked The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent but wanted a male lead who copes with isekai life through spreadsheets instead of potions, this is your show. Fans of Sasaki and Miyano's slow-burn pacing or The Apothecary Diaries' "competent protagonist impresses everyone by just doing their job" energy will find a lot to like here. It's cozy, it's funny, and the romance actually breathes.
