EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the dramatic turn where Kaoru and Karina were pulled into Sekidōsai's painting, this episode deepens the ongoing conflict with Sekidōsai while maintaining the series' comedic tone. At episode 18 of 26, the show is in its final stretch of setup, with the overarching supernatural threat beginning to crystalize. What happens here lays groundwork for the more consequential confrontations approaching in the final quarter of the season.
