I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When the crown prince publicly dumps her in front of the entire court, Aileen Lauren Dautriche is already having a bad day — but then she remembers her past life and realizes she's living inside an otome game. As the villainess. The one who dies at the end. So naturally, her survival plan is to seduce the final boss: the Demon King himself, who also happens to be her ex-fiancé's older half-brother. Romance as a tactical maneuver — that's the energy here. This is a 12-episode TV series from 2022, and what makes it work is that Aileen isn't passively trying to avoid death flags. She's charging headfirst into the most dangerous route possible, armed with game knowledge and sheer audacity. The dynamic between her and Claude is genuinely fun to watch — she's scheming and confident, he's powerful but emotionally guarded, and their interactions have this comedic romantic tension that keeps things moving. The tone stays light and comedic for the most part, with enough court intrigue and fantasy elements layered in to keep it from feeling one-note. If you liked My Next Life as a Villainess for the reincarnated-as-the-bad-guy premise but wanted a protagonist who's a bit sharper and more deliberate, this scratches that itch. Fans of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen or Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu will find familiar ground here too, though this one leans harder into the romance side of things.
