IDOLiSH7 Vibrato is a spin-off series of the IDOLiSH7 TV anime, offering exclusive content streamed on YouTube for fans to enjoy.

📖 SYNOPSIS

Carrying nothing but a dream of becoming an idol and the weight of his father's debt, Ryuunosuke Tsunashi trades Okinawa for Tokyo. Not exactly the glamorous origin story you'd expect, but that's what makes this work. He ends up crossing paths with Gaku Yaotome, who's got his own complicated relationship with the industry since his dad literally runs the production company, and Ten Kujou, who's as talented as he is hard to read. Together they form TRIGGER, and this 8-episode ONA is basically their origin story — how three guys with very different motivations ended up in the same group and what that cost them.

Vibrato is a spinoff from the main IDOLiSH7 series, but it stands on its own surprisingly well. Studio TROYCA gives it a polished, expressive look, and the original songs actually land emotionally instead of feeling like filler. The real draw, though, is watching these three figure each other out. There's tension between personal ambition and group loyalty that feels grounded rather than melodramatic.

If you liked The iDOLM@STER SideM: Episode of Jupiter for its focus on a single unit's backstory, or Uta no Prince-sama for the male idol drama but wanted something with a bit more bite, this hits that space. At only 8 episodes, it doesn't overstay its welcome. The tone is emotional without being manipulative — it earns its heavier moments through character work rather than shock value.
