Himawari Too!!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Training to become a kunoichi at a remote ninja academy, Himawari Hinata is already finding herself in a setup for a fun time. But the interesting wrinkle is her new teacher, Hayato — a completely ordinary guy with zero ninja ability who took the job purely to pay off a debt. When Himawari notices a distinctive mark on his neck that matches the mysterious ninja who rescued her as a child, suddenly this goofy school-life premise has an actual emotional thread running through it. Season two of this 13-episode TV series picks up right where the first left off, digging deeper into both Himawari and Hayato's pasts while keeping the tone loose and comedic. Think less serious ninja drama, more chaotic classroom energy with a soft romantic undercurrent developing in the background. The cast of kunoichi-in-training each have distinct personalities and quirks, and the show leans into that ensemble dynamic rather than keeping the focus narrowly on Himawari. If you enjoyed the absurd ninja comedy of Ninja Nonsense or the slice-of-life classroom chaos of Azumanga Daioh, this sits comfortably in that same neighborhood. It is not trying to be a serious martial arts story. The action is there, but it serves the comedy more than the other way around. Each episode also ends with a different voice actress performing the ending theme, which is a small touch but adds a bit of personality to an already charming package.
