Himawari!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A single childhood rescue by a ninja is the entire reason Himawari Hinata enrolls at Shinobi Gakuen, a hidden academy tucked away in the Village of the Mists. On her first day, she runs into Hayato, a 24-year-old guy who somehow landed a teaching job at a ninja school despite having zero ninja skills. He's there to pay off a debt, teaching students about the outside world while surrounded by people who could probably flip him through a wall without breaking a sweat. The twist that hooks you early: Hayato has a distinctive neck mark that matches the one Himawari remembers from her childhood rescuer, which raises some obvious questions she's not letting go of. The show runs 13 episodes and keeps things light — the comedy mostly comes from the gap between Himawari's wide-eyed enthusiasm and Hayato's deeply reluctant energy, plus the general absurdity of a non-ninja trying to survive in a school full of them. It's not trying to be a serious martial arts story. If you liked Guardian Ninja Mamoru! or something like Sasuke and want a shorter, low-stakes watch with a fun premise, this fits that space. The action is there, the training montages are there, but the relationship between Himawari and Hayato is what actually carries it forward.
