Future GPX Cyber Formula Sin
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A grudge, a suspended team, and a car that can't keep up anymore — that's what Bleed Kaga is working with. After Aoi Zip Formula gets banned for a year over a cheating scandal, Kaga comes back to the Cyber Formula World Grand Prix hungry to prove himself — only to find that champion Hayato Kazami has gotten even better while he was away. Outgunned and outpaced, Kaga gets a lifeline from a mysterious figure named Kyoshiro Nagumo, who hands him the keys to the Ogre AN-21: a prototype racing machine running on a bio-computer system that blurs the line between driver and machine. What follows is a story about pride, redemption, and what it costs to chase someone you might never catch. The tone is genuinely emotional — this is less about the spectacle of racing and more about the people behind the wheel. It's a 5-episode OVA, so it's tight and focused, no padding. If you came up on Initial D or Speed Racer and want something that takes the rivalry angle seriously with a sci-fi twist, this scratches that itch. Fans of Redline who want more character weight alongside the racing will find something here too. It's a later entry in the Cyber Formula franchise, so some background helps, but the core conflict is easy enough to follow on its own.
