EPISODE CONTEXT
Arriving immediately after the high-stakes confrontation that sealed Greed's fate in episode 34, this installment deliberately downshifts into a reflective pause at roughly the two-thirds mark of the series. It uses that breathing room to begin peeling back layers on the homunculi's origins and inner lives, particularly Lust's. While filler by classification, it plants thematic seeds around the homunculi's humanity that inform the heavier revelations and escalations in the episodes ahead.
