Forget That Night, Your Majesty
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Ignored by her father and used as a pawn by her half-brother for her entire life, Lunia Persephone figures things can't get much worse when she's chosen to marry Hades Khronoa — a duke feared as the 'King of the Underworld' who's cursed to die young without a bride. The catch? Hades tells her straight up he has no intention of loving her. It's a political arrangement, nothing more. But Lunia, stuck between a family that never wanted her and a husband bound by a curse, makes a desperate choice that changes everything — and then vanishes. This 12-episode TV series is built on that tension between duty and genuine connection, wrapped in a fantasy setting full of cursed noble families and imperial power plays. The animation has this interesting blend of traditional and modern styles that gives the world a storybook quality, and the soundtrack genuinely elevates the emotional beats. The pacing is deliberate — it lets the relationship dynamics breathe instead of rushing through plot points. If you liked the slow-burn romance and political intrigue of Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, or the way Saiunkoku Monogatari balances court politics with a strong female lead navigating a world stacked against her, this hits similar notes. It's romantic without being saccharine, and the Greek mythology naming conventions are a nice touch that hints at where the story might go.
