📖 SYNOPSIS

On the surface, she's just your typical elementary school kid living a pretty normal life — until a sentient magical wand called Ruby ditches its previous owner and decides Illya von Einzbern is its new master. Now she's stuck collecting seven Class Cards, each containing the spirit of a powerful Heroic Spirit, whether she wants to or not. Paired with Miyu Edelfelt, a quiet and mysterious girl wielding the companion wand Sapphire, and loosely supervised by rival mages Rin Tohsaka and Luvia Edelfelt (who spend as much time fighting each other as helping), Illya gets dragged into battles way above her pay grade. This continuation of the Prisma Illya saga picks up after the Licht movie, pushing the story further into territory that longtime fans have been waiting for. What makes this series work is how it layers genuine Fate universe lore — servants, noble phantasms, parallel worlds — underneath a magical girl framework that starts light but doesn't stay there. If you liked Cardcaptor Sakura's card-collecting structure but wished it had Fate's combat intensity, this hits that sweet spot. Fans of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha or even the darker turns in Madoka Magica will find something to latch onto here too. The fights are fluid and surprisingly well-choreographed, and the character dynamics between Illya and Miyu carry real emotional weight the deeper the story goes. Don't let the cute exterior fool you — it earns its complexity.
