Witchy Pretty Cure!! Mirai Days
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Since her Pretty Cure days, Mirai Asahina has grown up. She's in university now, living a normal life in the No Magic World, while her best friend Riko teaches at the Magic School across dimensions. Years have passed since their Pretty Cure days, and things have been quiet — until a giant bear monster shows up in Mirai's hometown and Riko crashes back into her life like no time has passed at all. Together with Mofurun (yes, the teddy bear) and the fairy Ha-chan, they transform again to face a new threat that's targeting both worlds. This 12-episode TV series from Toei Animation and Studio Deen picks up the story from the original Mahoutsukai Precure and leans hard into that reunion energy — two friends who've grown apart finding their way back to each other through magical girl combat and a fresh Pink Diamond transformation style. The soundtrack brings back Rie Kitagawa alongside the main cast, mixing nostalgia with new tracks that actually land. The animation updates the original's look without losing what made it work. If you grew up on Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura, the appeal here is similar: friendship as literal power, bright magical action, emotional stakes that hit harder because you already care about these characters. Fans of Shugo Chara will vibe with the tone too. It's a sequel that respects the time that's passed, both for the characters and the audience watching them.
