Fate/Grand Order: Final Singularity - Grand Temple of Time: Solomon
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Everything humanity has left rides on one last fight, and the people carrying that weight are a regular kid, a shielder who's never sure she's enough, and a doctor who's been hiding something the whole time. Fate/Grand Order: Solomon is a movie that serves as the grand finale to the mobile game's first arc, and it throws everything at the screen — every servant, every alliance, every sacrifice — in one massive climactic battle against Solomon, the King of Mages, inside a temple that exists outside of time itself. The emotional core here is really what sells it. Fujimaru, Mash, and Romani Archaman each face the reality of what winning actually costs, and CloverWorks brings the action sequences to life with some genuinely impressive animation for a 2021 film. That said, this is very much a payoff movie. If you haven't followed the Fate/Grand Order storyline — through the game or the Babylonia TV series at minimum — a lot of the character moments and returning faces won't land the way they should. But if you have been along for the ride, this is the emotional gut-punch you've been building toward. If you liked Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel for its high-stakes finality, or Demon Slayer: Mugen Train as a game-to-screen climax done right, Solomon hits a similar note. It's a love letter to everyone who stuck with Chaldea from the beginning.
